The Russia-Iran connection

I have been skeptical all along about the idea of saying to Iran, we don't want you to enrich urainium on your own soil but if Russia does it, then fine. Aside from the fact that Russia and Iran have always had a pretty cozy relationship to begin with, I saw this article today on Debka and it confirmed some of my fears and suspcions regarding the straw man I described above. What the article essentialy says is that Iran will agree to a significantly modified version of the agreement to have Russia enrich "some" of their urainium but will matintain the ability to produce weapons grade material on their own soil. So really instead of solving the problem it really only leaves the problem as is and creates a new one which is Iran gaining Russia's technical knowledge of Nuclear Physics. Not a thought that makes me all warm and fuzzy.
