Over the Top

...and no I am not talking about the act this teacher committed by showing 4th graders portions of the opera Faust

I will give a disclaimer that I found this, an AP story on yahoo news and cannot entirely verify its veracity. But having said that, the way people in this community treated a well meaning teacher if it is true, is part of the reason why we constantly lose strength and momentum to the left. Let's assume that this teacher was ignorant, nay, even negligent in showing a mature piece like this to grade school children. She realized her mistake and wrote a letter of apology to parents. That is where it should have ended right? Wrong, she received hate mail calling her a monster, a Satan worshiper and calls for her resignation. I am as against what she did as anyone, but odds are folks, she had no intention of turning kids on to the idea of suicide, or to making a deal with Satan for eternal youth. Was what she did stupid, absolutely, but worthy of being driven out of town and burned at the stake, CUMMMoooonnn now.
