Hezbollah Are Cowards!

As this article shows and as I and many others have said over and over. Again lets remind ourselves this is not an army, nor is it a country. They fight like cowards and run when confronted by a superior force. The news media has been dominated by reports of Lebanese civilians being murdered by Israel's air attacks, but honestly how would they know? The men fighting in these neighborhoods disguise themselves like your uncle Abdul from down the road, hurry into your back yard, fire a rocket, then hurry out again. Not only is that cowardly, but it is also pure evil because they know Israel will immediately target the homes where the rockets came from. They deliberately use residential neighborhoods in densely populated areas to fire their rockets so that when Israel retaliates, it is then accused of killing innocents and the Hezbollah fighter(s) are usually long gone by then. This is a force that would see its own people, women and children murdred before their eyes to save their own skins and further their twisted cause. Please take a moment to read the article and look at the photos, this is what you won't see on a lot of on the major networks, but what anyone who has an opinion on this conflict needs to know.

'Harry Potter' actor to be naked on stage

The article says that Daniel Radcliffe who plays Harry in the movie versions of the popular book series will star as a troubled stableboy in Peter Shaffer's "Equus." Equus is the story of a disturbed boy (Alan Strang) who gouges out the eyes of 6 horses with a metal spike.

This is where it really gets scary... "In one scene the actor playing Strang is required to simulate sexual ecstasy while riding a horse naked. But the nudity was not the focus of the play." Says Vanessa Davies who is Radcliffe's spokeswoman.

Boy, I don't know about you but I will never be able to look at Harry the same way again. Bad career move too if you ask me. Can't be a great boost to your carreer to be found on stage masterbating atop of a horse. The Harry Potter stories do take a decidedly darker turn from here on out as well and no doubt the movies will reflect the serious turns in the novels. The story and its main charachter Harry are apparently not the only ones to have lost their innocense.

I get that the kid wants to branch out but the potter movies have endeared him to millions of children. To them he is Harry Potter. Not that a lot of 9-11 yr olds are going to run out and see Equus (as if there parents would let them), but a lot of them will hear of this. Just so there is no mistake, that does matter. It matters for kids to have sports heros that are not being arrested in connection with gang shootings or be able to admire music artists that have not been in State prison for drug dealing and again yes it does matter for my 11 year old daughter not to have to find out that her heart throb Harry Potter will be riding a horse bareback on a stage somewhere faking an orgasm or trying to explain a bilboard like that to little Billy who just read "Sorcerers Stone". (Daddy what's an orgasm?) Oivay!

It's Hollywood people," Dean said. "Americans are sick of that. Even if you win elections doing that, you drag down our country."

It really must burn those of you who actually mean well and really think you have a shot at a democractic congress or president in 08 to know that your primary spokesman is a buffoon. I mean this must be just like shooting fish in a barrell for the RNC. Dean sets em' up, and they knock em' out!!

But don't feel so bad, if Dean screws things up like he did yesterday you've always got spin-masters like Rangel, Pelosi, Schumer, Biden, and Kennedy to make up the ground... Oh, right, that's just as bad...Sorry. Well, there's always 2010 or 2012 right? "RIGHT"

Everytime I read that story I want to cry, and when I read that she will have the opportunity to be evaluated by doctors every few years and have the chance of being released if they deem her fit, I wanted to be sick all over my keyboard. It is time like these that test my faith, knowing that a woman like this might one day walk the street again or even breed again God forbid. But I do trust that God knows her better than I and is infinitely more capable of determining whether and when she deserves judgement for her actions. So I will leave it in His hands.

Well we can all agree on one point...

The UN is a an ineffective straw man that makes a lot of noise and does a lot of nothing about it. Its like one of those little yip, yip dogs that chases you around and barks at your ankles. It never bites cuz it really hasn't the teeth, it cowars at any aggressive movement and is always in constant danger of having the sh*t kicked out of it by, well, pretty much anyone.

Honestly, the idea that the UN can be a peace keeping force in Lebanon is like saying the little yip, yip dog could keep the peace in the middle of two Rotweilers. It would just be ugly (see above).

Even mortal enemies seem to get that, which says to me that we all might want to take a step back and shuffle Kofi off into the corner, out of the way where he can't break anything. Oh and while we are at it, lets also think about moving the last, best hope of the global community somewhere more global, preferably outside of the US.

Here is what Ahmadinejad said about the UN: Iran's president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, said UN inaction was not helping. "Upon hearing the slightest criticism against the Zionist regime, they issue dozens of resolutions. But now, 13 days after that regime's massive attack against Lebanon, using most fatal weapons, they even refrain from asking for a truce," he said.

What President Bush says about the UN: "The United Nations must be strong and efficient, free of corruption and accountable to the people it serves," he said. "The United Nations must stand for integrity and live by the high standards it sets for others."

Regretably, there is no international body capable of quenching the violence in the middle-east, save NATO maybe. You see, to effect change for "the good" an entity like the UN must take a morally specific position toward something other than simply "the violence". They need to cease drawing moral equivelants between stone killers and nations that wish only to live in peace who defend their own borders. A body such as the UN cannot exist for all, because all are not good and all do not wish peace. The UN allows the largest human rights violaters in our world to sit on a council for the same name whose mission is to increase human rights. It condems Israel for protecting its citizens while almost simultaneously ignoring the violence in Darfur. It condems the United States for Abu Garab while it sits by and allows China to engage in the organ farming of executed prisinors unfettered and unchecked.

Uncle Tim's says "Gut the UN, clean it up and make it useful and a force for peace in the world again.

Either that or just kick it accross the room to get it of our leg.

NOBEL peace laureate Betty Williams showed her good sense, class and heart for peace on Tuesday by declaring to a room full of school children" Right now, I would love to kill George Bush." Yes, once again from the ideology that allowed Bin Laden to thrive in the 90's and said it was ok to kill millions of babies if they became inconvenient prior to birth in the 70's and 80's comes the "peace laureate" who threatens violence to an elected official of an allied country in front of grade school kids! She does admit in the article, "I don't know how I ever got a Nobel Peace Prize," well neither do we Betty, neither do we...

She goes on to say ,

"My job is to tell you their stories," Ms Williams said of a recent trip to Iraq.

"We went to a hospital where there were 200 children; they were beautiful, all of them, but they had cancers that the doctors couldn't even recognise. From the first Gulf War, the mothers' wombs were infected.

"As I was leaving the hospital, I said to the doctor, 'How many of these babies do you think are going to live?"

Someone should remind Betty that Sadam Hussein used Chemical Weapons during the first Gulf War and that is why these women have infected wombs and the children have cancers the doctors can't even recognize.

She goes on,

"He looked me straight in the eye and said, 'None, not one'. They needed five different kinds of medication to treat the cancers that the children had, and the embargoes laid on by the United States and the United Nations only allowed them three."

(I wonder how the good doctor knows he needs 5 medicines instead of three to treat the "cancer" he can't even recognize to begin with)

Oh, why yes of course, its our fault...AGAIN. It couldn't be that one of the most brutal regimes in world history deprived those hospitals of the money allocated for them by Oil for Food, or that the medications sent over were sold to the rich for profit by Sadam's son's Udead and Qusdead. No, it was America that did it. Dead children? (anywhere in the world?) BLAME AMERICA!! I am sure this woman thinks she means well, but to read her comments I am of the mind that they must have had a different definition of peace in 1976.

Saw this over at Stark Truth. I have a few friends that were in the military and they would appreciate this I know. Enjoy!!

We know that the current state of affairs in our great nation has many civilians up in arms and excited to join the military. For those of you who can't join, you can still lend a hand. Here are a few of the areas where we would like your assistance:

1.The next time you see an adult talking (or wearing a hat) during the playing of the National Anthem---kick their ass.

2.When you witness, first hand, someone burning the American Flag in protest---kick their ass.

3.Regardless of the rank they held while they served, pay the highest amount of respect to all veterans. If you see anyone doing otherwise, quietly pull them aside and explain how these veterans fought for the very freedom they bask in every second. Enlighten them on the many sacrifices these veterans made to make this Nation great. Then hold them down while a disabled veteran kicks their ass.

4.(GUYS) If you were never in the military, DO NOT pretend that you were. Wearing battle dress uniforms (BDUs) or Jungle Fatigues, telling others that you used to be "Special Forces," and collecting GI Joe memorabilia, might have been okay when you were seven years old. Now, it will only make you look stupid and get your ass kicked.

5.Next time you come across an Air Force member, do not ask them, "Do you fly a jet?" Not everyone in the Air Force is a pilot. Such ignorance deserves an ass-kicking (children are exempt).

6.If you witness someone calling the US Coast Guard 'non-military', inform them of their mistake---and kick their ass.

7.Next time Old Glory (the US flag) prances by during a parade, get on your damn feet and pay homage to her by placing your hand over your heart. Quietly thank the military member or veteran lucky enough to be carrying her---of course, failure to do either of those could earn you a severe ass-kicking.

8.Don't try to discuss politics with a military member or a veteran. We are Americans, and we all bleed the same, regardless of our party affiliation. Our Chain of Command is to include our Commander-In-Chief (CinC). The President (for those who didn't know) is our CinC regardless of political party. We have no inside track on what happens inside those big important buildings where all those representatives meet. All we know is that when those civilian representatives screw up the situation, they call upon the military to go straighten it out. If you keep asking us the same stupid questions repeatedly, you will get your ass kicked!

9.'Your mama wears combat boots' never made sense to me---stop saying it! If she did, she would most likely be a vet and therefore, could kick your ass!

10.Bin Laden and the Taliban are not Communists, so stop saying 'Let's go kill those Commies!' And stop asking us where he is! Crystal balls are not standard issue in the military. That reminds me---if you see anyone calling those damn psychic phone numbers, let me know, so I can go kick their ass!

11.'Flyboy' (Air Force), 'Jarhead' (Marines), 'Grunt' (Army), 'Squid' (Navy),'Puddle Jumpers' (Coast Guard), etc., are terms of endearment we use describing each other. Unless you are a service member or vet, you have not earned the right to use them. That could get your ass kicked.

12.Last, but not least, whether or not you become a member of the military, support our troops and their families. Every Thanksgiving and religious holiday that you enjoy with family and friends, please remember that there are literally thousands of soldiers, sailors, marines and airmen far from home wishing they could be with their families. Thank God for our military and the sacrifices they make every day. Without them, our country would get its ass kicked."

"It is the Veteran, not the reporter who has given us the freedom of the press.

"It is the Veteran, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech.

"It is the Veteran, not the campus organizer, who gives us the freedom to demonstrate.

"It is the Military who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag."

A Theocracy by any other name...

...is still a theocracy. Wonder what kind of beating Bush and Condi's gonna give Maliki for goin' all true colors during the such a volatile time in the mid-east? You gotta know they were all listening to his comments going DOH! DOH! and DOH! For all of our hopes that Iraq would be a secular democracy at least to a certain extent this does not look good. Maliki's comments are below:

But it was more what he did not say that was so very telling. Namely, he did not condem Hezbullah or their actions and did not even acknowledge that this conflict in its current form is Hezbullah's fault. He did not come right out and say "Death to Israel" or "Long Live Osama",
but his Shia background showed through for all to see in this article

Democrats on the Right side?? Say it aint so. Call it Political Gamesmanship if you will, but Maliki should appologize for his comments and he should not be allowed to address our congress until he does.

I wonder if our administration would force him out? Like how outrageous would he have to get before we gave him a good smack?

Immigration: Why do we even have laws??

It amazed me to see this story. It is about a woman who filed for a restraining order on her husband because he threatened to get her deported. The judge who heard her case rightly asked her, "Are you here illegally?" To which the woman replied yes... This prompted the judge to dismiss the case and tell the woman to get out of his court room before he had her arrested and deported. Anyhow, there was so much left wing and latino outrage over his actions that he is no longer a judge pro-tem for L.A. County, they've dismissed him. The amazing part is that the article mentions nothing about the fact that the woman is committing a crime and that the judge was right to do and say what he did( accept maybe for the fact that he should not have let her go). They only say that she was later granted the restraining order by another judge. I have said it before, but "through the looking glass" is appropriate once again to describe the way our society just stares white straight in the face and calls it black and vise versa. Another point of note, this was no right wing judge, he even admits to hating our immigration laws in this country. He did not even do the right thing, he just spoke the right thing and got canned for it. That is what we get for electing a guy like Antonio Villaragosa Mayor of LA. A citizenry that gets angry with a judge for upholding our laws. This strikes right at the heart of the immigration issue in this country. There will never be border security if we allow a society where an innocent judge gets dismissed for pointing out the stupidity of a woman coming into a Superior court for a restraining order when she is not even legally allowed to implore the court to help her much less be in the country at all. All the judge was saying in a nutshell is "Look, are you frackin' stupid woman? I could deport you just for standing there, get out of my courtroom!"

Every single version of this story I could find this morning completely ignores that.

Well, Its been a while but...

I think I have sufficiently recovered enough to start posting about soccer again. Specifically the Zidane incident. Personally I hate the French and the Italian football teams anyway, but I was really pissed off at the fact that Zidane did what he did, made everyone wait 5 days and then did not even say what exactly the provocation was for him to head butt Matterazi. Here is just a taste...

When I was in the Navy, I once witnessed a bar fight in downtown Olongapo (Philippines) that still haunts my dreams. The fight was between a big oafish Marine and a rather soft-spoken, medium sized Latino sailor from my ship.

All evening the Marine had been trying to pick a fight with one of us and had finally set his sights on this diminutive shipmate of mine... figuring him for a safe target. When my friend refused to be goaded into a fight the Marine sucker punched him from behind on the side of the head so hard that blood instantly started to pour from this poor man's mutilated ear.

Everyone present was horrified and was prepared to absolutely murder this Marine, but my shipmate quickly turned on him and began to single-handedly back him towards a corner with a series of stinging jabs and upper cuts that gave more than a hint to a youth spent boxing in a small gym in the Bronx.

Hizbullah or Hezbolla?

Osama or Usama, frankly I can't keep up. I am not kidding, I have seen Hezbollah spelled 4 different ways in the media in one day and Bin Laden's name spelled at least 3 different ways since he stuffed his coward arse in a cave sometime after 9/11. So what is up with these silly Arab names and there different spellings? We at Uncle Tim's are determined to find out for you.

Well first off here is the Wikipedia definition that shows all of the spellings. But it does nothing to explain what or why. They are not Homophones for example like where Hizbullah would mean Pond Scum and Hezbollah might mean Diarea Eater. So far all I can tell is that their origins are Arabic for "Party Of God" which in itself is ironic as these people generally have no God...except maybe death.

Ah Ha! Eureka, I've found it! After much toiling and walking through the desert many miles, your faithful servant has found the answer you all seek. According to al-bab.com it is a problem in translating the Arabic words to Roman text . So the answer according to scholar TE Lawrence is they are all right and correct spellings,

"Arabic names," he replied, "won't go into English, exactly, for their consonants are not the same as ours, and their vowels, like ours, vary from district to district."

Well, another problem solved here at the Bargain Basement... However you spell Hezbollah, Hizbullah, Hizbollah or Hezb'Allah though and whether in Greek : Τρομοκράτης, Japanese: テロリスト Russian: Террорист, or Chinese: 恐怖分子 it still means only one thing... Terrorist

Who are the Idiots...

...that change lanes on the freeway in dead stop traffic? I live in California, Southern California to be exact and for those of you who share this joy with me it is one of the most congested freeway systems in America. The physics of traffic however are very simple. First, you will never move much faster than the flow of traffic. Whether it be 5mph or 50mph. Second, dead stop traffic is caused by cars stopping dead in the middle of the freeway. Lets wait right there for a moment. It's a "freeway", so why are there cars stopping? Lets eliminate the things out of our control like police and accidents. What we are left with is driver initiated slowing or stopping. What causes this? Yep, you guessed it, people changing lanes. It's simple really, you take 10,000 cars traveling in a straight line of 4 rows. If they all stay in their own lane (excepting intangibles) traffic will flow fairly normally(if slowly). What happens when a car changes lanes is that the car behind it is forced to slow down or stop, which in turn causes a chain reaction not only in your lane, but in the next to the right and left because freeway drivers are a heard mentality. One hears a lion in the brush and starts runnin', everybody follows blindly. Multiply that by 5,000 and it is no wonder why the 405 and other freeways are frequently bumper to bumper at times and in places where there seems to be no other logical explanation. Now onto why the ones who change lanes do what they do and the stupidity/futlity of such an act. Reasons people change lanes vary from wanting to get over to an offramp, to just plain impatience. For this example lets deal with the impatients, because they are the guilty party. You are either late getting somewhere, hate sitting in traffic, or just really believe you can get somewhere faster by changing lanes every 5 seconds in heavy traffic. Either way can I tell you something? STOP IT!!! It just makes everything worse for everyone including you and you absolutely do not get anywhere any quicker! Did you know that it is a fact that you only add 1.5 or so minutes to the time you save driving for every 10 mph faster you travel? Pledge Protection Bill Passes

The Pledge Protection Act of 2005 (H.R. 2389) passed today by a vote of 260-167 in the house. Denny Hasset urged the Senate to take the same action,

"I am pleased the House was able to pass this legislation and demonstrate to the American people our commitment to uphold the principles on which this country was founded. I urge the Senate to take up this measure", Hassert said.

The pledge protection act became a way for our lawmakers to ensure the religous history of our country would not, scratch that, could not be impuned by an activist federal judge. Todd Akin (R-MO) was the congressman who introduced the bill. There are opponents of the measure who believe wrongly that this is a violation of seperation of powers and of the left's fictitious interpertation of our constitutions establishment clause. They claim it is an attempt by congress to force a pluralistic society into a "one-size-fits-all set of beliefs". Supporters of the bill say that is complete nonsense and have this to say in its defense.

Left Attacks Pregnancy Resource Centers

Those wacky liberals are at it again folks. If you ask Uncle Tim, they are still pissed about the sting conducted by Christians that exposed non-fatih based abortion center Planned Parenthood's illegal activity. But alas we must defend ourselves at any rate. The article titled "Pregnancy Centers Mislead Girls" level charges that workers gave operatives from the "House Government Reform Comitee" posing as pregnant 17 year olds false and misleading information about abortion. Those things include telling the girls they stood an increased chance of Breast Cancer, decrease in milk developement and increase chance of Mental Illness resulting from abortion and its effects.

"Twenty of the 23 centers reached by the investigators (87 percent) provided false or misleading information about the health effects of abortion," California Democratic Rep. Henry Waxman said in a statement.

Lets take these one by one first assuming the workers did in fact say those things.

Breast Cancer Risk - It took me about 3 seconds to find this resource on the web which heartily affirms the idea that Breast Cancer can result from an abortion.

Risk of Infertility - Again only a short search to find this resource from The Health Science Report that affirms the claims made to these false patients. In fairness I did find some that said the opposite also but it appeared there was a definite idealogical lean to those particular resources.

Mental Illness - And to round out this little Trifecta yet another very simple search brought me to this sight affirming the increased risk of mental illness and suicide among women post abortion.

So in closing, did these workers abuse the truth, Abosolutely Not, according to many resources I found on the web without any trouble at all. Contrastly however there have been many abuses of trust by Planned Parenthood and the like. Here are just a few:

From the people who brought you the "Tolerance Movement" and claim hate speech everytime someone disagrees publicly with their lifestyle, comes a little hate of their own. That's the funny thing about hypocrisy, it never stays hidden for long. Residents in Provinetown, Mass. can attest to that as there has been a rash of tension over some residents "tolerant", peaceful opposition to the Gay Lifestyle. One resident was actually screamed at and called a bigot just for signing a petition that opposed gay marriage. Others have had it worse as this article describes:

...That is what Greece and maybe three other countries, Russia, France, Italy and Britan see as Israel conducts measured retaliations to the unfettered violence that has never ceased being inflicted upon them. They (Israel) are a peaceful population that wants little more than to exist in the region without having their children blown to pieces on a weekly basis. Israel has bent over backward to accomodate even the most ludicrous of Palestinian demands in past years and looks to finally have said "Enough is enough!" From kidnappings, to blowing up market squares and eateries, to homicide bombers walking onto crowded buses in the middle of rush hour, the violence has been non-stop. Here are just a few examples:

That's right, there isn't one, the only "real" condemnation of any kind at the UN has come from the United States.

Those who would question Israel's actions should remember that this enemy is no different than the one that attacked us on 9/11 . They may purport to be different and attempt to justify their violence through an imaginary cause kept alive by nothing but pure, sickening, hate. (No, not hate like in this country where Good Christian people are fired from their jobs for calling homosexuality a sin , but real true un-adulterated hate that demands an entire people's extinction.) World War III Has Begun??

In an article today Michael Goodwin of the New York Daily news says that World War III has started. Unfortunately I cannot really disagree. He sites Iraq, North Korea, Iran and Palestine as signs that this is so. Again, I cannot disagree. However for those of us who grew up in the Reagan era this is not exactly the picture that came to mind when we pondered the next global war. I can only speak for myself, but I always pictured missles flying from east to west and vise versa and it all being over in a day. Thusly we all could be at least a little secure in the idea that nobody wanted to kill the world, and so it went. The terrorist of this world war wears no uniform, sits in no particular state house, has NO regard for human life (even their own). As I say this it sounds cliche even to me, but they are barbarians. The scary part is that with this new army the forces that would undermine a free way of life do not have to fire one missle, declare war, or even act aggressively as a nation. Countries like China, North Korea and Iran can use these thugs as ghost marauders to further their causes. "But they are not even affiliated" you might say. Yes, but they do not have to be. Say you and the homeless guy on anycorner USA both have a problem with your neighbor "Sam". You buy homeless guy a burger one day and comiserate about how much you both dislike Sam. Homeless guy gets fed, he now knows you hate Same too and feeling well fed and strong, one day decides to beat the sense out of Sam on his way home from work. You are squeaky clean, everybody blames the homeless guy and Sam gets put in his place (or so you hope). Its a crude example but this is how things work in our world. The question is how do you combat an enemy that has no conscience and world leaders with no sense of decency or morality? Do you treat them like bullies and smack them around before they smack you around? Well, I would like to say yes but this enemy is less like a bully and a lot more like that psycho special ed. kid who does not have the sense to know when enough is enough. You hit him first and no matter how badly it hurts him he will come back at you until he is out cold or you are. You can't reason with him, because he has no sense of any kind, you can't walk away, and you can't expect him to know when he's beaten and go on about his own business. The only logical thing to do is remove his ability to inflict harm on you or anyone else.

Now, the passive among us might say that is not an option, but consider this point and then decide; If you do not act first, you die and everything about your way of life dies with you. Your ideals, morality, love, and yes even your desire for peace! I'm not sure if enough of us are willing to beat the snot out of a retarded kid, but that would definitely be the lesser of two weevils =o)

We'll it seems Lil' Kim (Jong Il) couldn't let our independence day go by without crapping his military diaper trying to get attention. You can't blame him I suppose cuz after all he is a very ronrey rittre man who desperately wants sane people to take him seriously. Honestly, to most Americans North Korea is just a news story or a headline and maybe that is part of the problem. After the launch during which the missle everyone was so upset about dropped quicker than Dave Letterman's winky sans Viagra, our President called on the world to respond to Mr. Il in a way that would send a stern message that "the world" would not tolerate his defiance. Meanwhile China and Russia of "Violence and/or sanctions are no solution to the Iran crisis" fame responded immediately by continuing to... you guessed it, tolerate Lil Kim's BS completely and denouncing any attempt to do otherwise.

News sites ran stories like this one and this one and this one. Michelle Malkin even did a little piece on the ronrey rittre man and his country. There are many reasons why we (when I say we I mean everyone) have placated this jackass for so many years. It could be the stranglehold he has on the nation, the threat of one of those missles actually getting to a country someone cares about, the idea that if we remove him there is someone worse and more ronrey waiting to take his place. Who knows? Frankly for all the mess he has caused, a 20 cent piece of lead would do rather nicely in my opinion.
