I want to help keep this at the front of everyones mind because it is not going away anytime soon. The new imigration reform bill in congress, the protests that followed, the potential for who's knows what on the horizon. Malkin has great coverage this morning, and Carolyn Hileman over at The Voice has a great write up and call to arms.
I have gone from being sympathetic toward Mexicans to absolutely outraged in a matter of 2 days. I have always believed that imigration should be legal and that those who violate our laws are criminals. But the events of the past week have taken this to a new level. There are protestors at our city institutions taking down the American flag, putting the Mexican flag up and then hanging the American flag below it upside down. That is no less than a declaration of war in my mind, a few decades ago the national gaurd would have been called in and those people doing that would have been in danger. Not anymore however, not even the INS, much less the National Gaurd were called out to stop this outrage. If there was ever any doubt in anyones mind what their intentions were/are, one only need read about and look at these protests, the signs they are carrying, what they are saying to know that these people are traitors, plain and simple, and what does our constitution say we do to traitors again??

In order to frame this issue properly one must admit that Mexicans make up a large portion of our blue collar work force. They are invaluable to our economy and it would be devestating were we to deport every illegal back to Mexico today. Having said that, these demonstrations are still no less ridiculous. The bottom line is, when you break the law and cross our border without permission there have to be consequences. Also that if these mass rallies tell us anything it is that more border fences are needed. The piont that they are missing is that when they ask "What about our rights?" the answer is, if you came here illegaly, you have none. I don't care if you are holding up our economy with your bare hands, you are a criminal and not only that, but a criminial who is not even a US citizen. It is nice to know however that the Mexican American community can work themselves into such a lather. If they could do this much in the their own country there would be no need for them to steal their way into ours. All I have to say is Bush better not buckle on this one.
Its not enough that we have to call it "Spring Holiday" in our public schools, but this City was so affraid of offending non-christians that they took down an Easter decoration consisting of a Bunny and colored eggs. Which by the way have literaly nothing whatsoever to do with Christ's death and resurection

I am linking to Malkin's article in the Jewish World Review becasue it makes the right points. This is about religous freedom. We are pouring billions upon billions of dollars into getting Afghanistan up on its feet post-Taliban and part of their new constitution has a section gaurenteeing religous freedom. That should be more than a condition for our continued support, it should be the be all, end all. If they execute this man for converting to Christianity we should pack up and leave them to their fate. Babarians do not deserve our hard earned tax dollars. Keep Mr. Rahman and our diplomats in your prayers.

Laura Ingraham was on the today show yesterday and pummeled Carville and David Gregory over the press coverage on Iraq. Since then, it seems nearly every MSM outlet has come out excusing and justifying their own coverage and for the most part ignoring Laura's main point which is: They cover the death, killing, strife, and violence but do not paint an accurate picture of the soldiers, their mission, the progress of the Iraqi people, or pretty much any other positive regarding OIF. It gave me pause to imagine how much gratitude, love and hope the Iraqi's have for us and for what our troops have done there. It also made me sick to my stomach to know that we have people in this country who would falsify their coverage of the war to further a dying, leftist agenda at the expense of the truth, at the expense of our nation's honor and the honor of our awesome service men and women. Men and women who daily sacrifice more and know more about sacrifice and honor than the elites who are writing this garbage will ever know in this life or the next. Uncle Tim's salutes our troops and people like Laura Ingraham who are not only brave enough to tell the truth but put their own words to action and prove it as well. Rock On!!

Yes, you heard that right, there is actually some director out there who thinks people actually give a crap about Cindy Sheehan and her self-seeking, self-agrandizing enough to want to watch a movie about her. This is one of those moments when I have to stop and wonder, who are these people? I mean aside from the ones who attend her rallies and the hardcore left wing of the democratic party, who are the people that think this woman has any social or political relevance at all? She is a lunatic!

Now I have seen some very stupid things come out of the high fashion world before, but this has got to be in the top three. I have never understood the logic that says, make clothes that nobody in their right mind will ever wear. I mean I get that there are very, very, rich people out there who run in very, very, small social circles that might think these things are cool. But the way the world props these designers up as inovators, visionaries, etc... is ludicrous. Note to Europe: When less than one % of the worlds population actually gets what you do and thinks it is cool and original, that is not visionary or inovation.

I want you all to note the disclaimer at the end of this article from ABC news. It as much as admits that Saddam's goverment was involved, if not initimately with OBL and Al Quaeda. Of note is that even with this evidence there is still denial. My personal opinion is that they can go one of two ways with this. Try to bury it, or try to deny and dismiss it. I feel vindicated and justified as I believe many who supported the president do, and to this day continue their support of our mission in Iraq. An Iraqi intelligence service document saying that their Afghani informant, who's only identified by a number, told them that the Afghani Consul Ahmed Dahastani claimed the following in front of him:
That OBL and the Taliban are in contact with Iraq and that a group of Taliban and bin Laden group members visited Iraq. That the U.S. has proof the Iraqi government and "bin Laden's group" agreed to cooperate to attack targets inside America. That in case the Taliban and bin Laden's group turn out to be involved in "these destructive operations," the U.S. may strike Iraq and Afghanistan. That the Afghani consul heard about the issue of Iraq's relationship with "bin Laden's group" while he was in Iran.
At the end, the writer recommends informing "the committee of intentions" about the above-mentioned items. The signature on the document is unclear.
(Editor's Note: The controversial claim that Osama bin Laden was cooperating with Saddam Hussein is an ongoing matter of intense debate. While the assertions contained in this document clearly support the claim, the sourcing is questionable — i.e. an unnamed Afghan "informant" reporting on a conversation with another Afghan "consul." I decided to do this a little differently today. I read this about 2 years ago and the impact it had on me has changed my life in the area of relationships. I hope it blesses you the way it did me:
God’s Prescription for Lasting Relationships

Few subjects in life ignite as much passion and longing within us as our desire for love, our interest in sex, and our hope for enduring relationships. But whether single, married, or single again, many people admit they are not experiencing the relational intimacy they desire.
I believe the problem causing our disappointment lies not in our inability to love, but in the rules we have unconsciously accepted from Hollywood, the media, and our culture that tell us how we should try to find love.
If you take away the lighting, warm scenes, slow-motion moments, and background music, Hollywood tells us there are four basic steps leading to deep, sizzling relationships. I call this the “Hollywood Formula.”
The Hollywood Formula
Step 1: Find the Right Person
In the Hollywood Formula, finding the right person just happens. It’s wild, accidental, and you’re helpless in the process. You glance across a crowded room, your eyes meet, and suddenly you’ve found the “right one.” Love is mystical and magical. It happens when you least expect it. So, if you don’t have it, just keep looking.
Step 2: Fall in Love
According to Hollywood, you can fall in love with strangers because you base love on chemistry rather than knowledge or character. You know you’re in love when you have that “ooey-gooey” feeling and you lose all common sense—but you’re in love, so what does it matter?
Step 3: Fix Your Hopes and Dreams on This Person for Your Fulfillment
Once you fall in love with the right person, nothing else matters. You can’t be held to any previous commitment because you have suddenly realized that this person alone will make you complete. Hollywood teaches you to believe that finding the right person will solve all of your problems and meet your deepest longings 100 percent of the time.
Step 4: If Failure Occurs, Repeat Steps 1, 2, and 3
If the intense feelings you experience in the first three steps start to subside, you must not have found the right person after all. Or perhaps it was the right person then, but not now. So Hollywood provides a quick, supposedly painless solution: Find a differentt right person, fall in love again, and fix your hopes and dreams on this new “right” person.
The Hollywood Formula Doesn’t Work
I know this sounds harsh and oversimplified, but the fact remains: Books, movies, songs, and television programs are consistently telling you the way to love, sex, and lasting relationships is found through the four steps I’ve outlined.
But the Hollywood Formula isn’t working. Divorce is epidemic in our society. Families are breaking apart, and it’s causing immeasurable pain and damage, especially to children. And if we keep doing the same thing in relationship after relationship, it will keep producing the same tragic results.
God’s Plan for Enhancing Your Love Life
But God has a better way. It’s found throughout the Bible but is summarized well in Ephesians 5:2, which tells us to “live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us.” In God’s plan, you begin with what Christ has done for you.
Step 1: Become the Right Person
Instead of constantly looking for the right person, God tells you to become the right person. That starts with developing a relationship with Him through Christ. Once you grasp God’s boundless love for you, feel secure and complete in your relationship with Him, and learn to rely on the power of His Spirit living in you, you will be able to show genuine love to others. You will start imitating Him as closely as possible in how you treat others. You will learn to “walk in love.”
Step 2: Walk in Love
In God’s plan, walking in love means more than long, hand-in-hand strolls on the beach. It means loving each other in the same way Christ loved you. Walking in love is about sacrificial commitment. It means giving the other person what he or she needs the most when it is least deserved, because that’s exactly how God treated you. Love is other-centered action that provides what’s best for the other person.
Step 3: Fix Your Hope on God and Seek to Please Him Through the Relationship
In a relationship that honors God, you come together with your partner, invite God’s blessing, and ask God to help you keep the commitments you are making. You acknowledge that Christ is the most important person in your lives, and because of that, you are able to love each other even better than you could on your own.
Step 4: If Failure Occurs, Repeat Steps 1, 2, and 3
When it comes to failure in relationships, the real question isn’t if, but when. Even if you are utterly convinced of the truth of God’s way, you cannot follow the steps flawlessly. But, instead of assuming you have the wrong person, God calls you to examine yourself and ask, “God, am I the man or woman You want me to be? Am I walking in love? How can I imitate You and walk in love so this relationship is pleasing to You?”
God calls you to go back to the beginning, to become the right person, to walk in love, and to set your hopes and dreams on Him.
God’s prescription for loving, lasting relationships may be the most challenging pursuit you have ever undertaken, but let me add this good news. The by-product of God’s approach to relationships is the very kind of intimacy, love, sex, and lasting companionship you have always wanted.

It looks as though some inside Iran are having doubts. I do not have much to say about it right now because it only affirms most of what I already new. But it does raise some interesting points and questions regarding the solidarity of Iran's influencial and powerful.
Times - Some in Iran have doubts?
I have been thinking, and have come to the conclusion that Democrats like Dean, Pelosi, Schumer, Reid, Biden, Kerry, etc... are something like an animal the political world needs to maintain the balance of reality. Just as we could never know joy without pain, true Love without hate, light without darkness, we also would never know reason and common sense without people like the above mentioned liberals to contrast them for us on a daily basis. To give you an example (just one of many, many examples mind you) here is Nancy Pelosi with her latest pearl of wisdom for the Left in 06/08:
"People said, 'You can't beat something with nothing(no unified agenda),' and I said Yes we can!"
I say preach on Nancy, Joe, Chuck, Jon, and all the rest. You are a needed part of the political ecosystem and the repulican's best hope for victory in the coming elections!

I found this article from a link on Drudge this morning. The Israeli official quoted in the article hits it right on the head in saying:
"The only real way to stop Teheran's race to obtain the bomb apart from military action was through tough economic sanctions that caused the Iranian people to suffer. "Once the people understand that their government is bringing upon them a disaster will they realize that the [Iranian President Mahmoud] Ahmadinejad's regime needs to be replaced," the official said.
Iran, the official said, was doing all it could to stall for time, including holding "pointless" talks with Russia concerning the enrichment of its uranium. "They are just trying to get more time and they will continue lying and deceiving the international community while simultaneously trying to obtain nuclear power,"
I could not agree more with those statements. The only thing that more time and more useless talks are going to do is allow Iran an opportunity to get farther toward their goal. That is one reason why the statements coming out of Russia and China are so curious. They must know that the above is true. I am all for diplomacy if there is a point, but with Iran's current leadership there is none. These are not rational, peaceful people we are dealing with here. I really hope that we or another country have the brass ones to step up and demand that Iran comply. Our problem is Iraq, that killed our credibility and left us limp to a certain extenet politically as to what we are able to do in the Iran situation. There is no win, win here though and we have to accept that first.
I have been following the issue of Iran's nuclear ambitions over the last month or two and have found something a bit odd. We hear Russia in the news via Lavrov and others closing ranks with the US and saying things like Iran should not enrich Urainium, and at the same time saying things like, they do not approve of sanctions or military action. So tell me then, with Iran's complete defiance and unwillingness to acquiesce to the international community. What exactly do countries like Russia and China think we should do? We know they favor negotiations, but we also know that they are seeing and hearing the same actions and tone out of Iran that we and everyone else are. So how can they think that talking, talking and more talking will be effective? In my mind there is something majorly fishy about this whole thing. I know this is far fetched, and no I do not where a tinfoil hat on the weekends, but it almost appears as if the Russians and/or the Chinese are at the very least indifferent and at the very worst complicit in allowing Iran to develope WMD's. The question you have to then ask is why? I will try and answer that one in a future post because it will take some research, but think about this for now. Who are China and Russia's largest global competitors? What could those two countries stand to gain by a Nuclear armed Iran?

I have posted recently in conjunction with the Dubai Port deal, that I believe Democrats have a unique opportunity to capitalise and win back many of the house and senate seats that have eluded them for so long. Today I read this article that expounds on that idea a bit, but also underscores our only hope for victory in the mid-terms at this point. We have to count on the Dems to be the Dems. So far they have not really taken advantage of our leadership's struggle to get past things like Iraq, Katrina, Social Security, Dubai Ports World, corruption in the senate GOP, etc... As this article points out their main and largest problem is that they (inspite of themsleves) have nothing positive or productive to say that will resonate with the American people. At this time their strategists are counting on America's impression of the GOP to win them the election. I tell you, if we get that lucky I will be amazed, not shocked, but amazed. Our leadership has pretty much handed them the mid-term on a silver plate. How can they possibly screw this one up? Well friends, it is for the very reason that this question must be asked, that it is still possible. Our hope is equally and ironicly in the fact that when left to their own devices, Democrats show their true colors in the wrong places at the wrong times. So with that said:
On Kennedy, on Pelosi, on Schumer and FeinStein, go Reid, go, Kerry, go Murtha and Dean. From the top of the Senate to the top of the wall, now lose away, lose away, lose away all!!

Apparently Babs is blaming here poor grammar and spelling on the help. Read the below from New York Daily News this morning: Songstress Barbra Streisand spells her first name funny, and that's her prerogative. But right-leaning cybergossip Matt Drudge — who delights in tormenting Streisand for errors on her political blog, barbrastreisand.com — believes the Democratic diva desperately needs spell-check. Drudgereport.com yesterday gloated: "Barbra Streisand has launched a new spelling error-ridden dispatch on the Internet — a dispatch that mocks President Bush for being a C student!" Drudge reported that in an anti-Bush diatribe, "Streisand flubs 11 words, a personal record." Among the errors: "Irag," "curruption," "dictatoriship," "warrented" and, yes, "desperatly." Yesterday, a couple of hours after Lowdown alerted the Streisand camp to Drudge's spelling feint, her online polemic was corrected. And Streisand's PR rep, Dick Guttman, sheepishly explained: "The errors … are regrettable and have resulted in a change in how the actress' own contributions to the blog will be posted." He blamed the mistakes on the company that operates Streisand's Web site: "The errors occurred in that entity's typing of the original dictated material. Henceforth, Ms. Streisand's office will post her essays directly." Drudge quipped: "Ah, the perils of Internet journalism!" _____________________________________________________________ Funny how that works huh?

Ya' know Babs might say we are all pointing this stuff out to ignore the real issues that she raised so to answer that I'll say this: That "essay" was so full of juvenille canned left wing rhetoric that I felt very comfortable glossing over her many invalid points and going straight to her horrible grammar and spelling, thanks Babs, that was fun!!
I thought this worthy of a post since I abhor the idea that our schools are overun by Liberal teachers who can't keep their views outside the classroom. My personal opinion is that any teacher caught promoting strongly one ideology should be fired, yes not reprimanded, but fired. That is an awesome responsibility and to me doing what these people are obviously guilty of is the same as molestation. They are molesting our children's minds and hearts and they do leave scars, they do hurt. I say round up the lot of em' and send them to Austrailia, isn't that what the English used to do with Traitors?
