A Company Of Champions

Piece Mom, Cindy Sheehan announced today that she is a finalist for the nobel peace prize. Jihad Cindy is in the right company for that award. See the list of prior "winners" below.

Henry Kissenger - 1973

Yasser Arafat - 1994

Kofi Annan - 2001

Jimmy Carter - 2002

Just to name a few. Mind you a Nobel Peace Prize used to really mean something and I do not lump any of the winners pre 1973 in with these gems or with Cindy. But in our black means white, up is down, right is wrong, bad is good, relativistic society it is hardly a wonder that a woman of sheehan's obvious bent would be nominated for such an award. Yes, its official, the Nobel Peace prize has become as irrelevant as the United Nations. Salute!

Here is a cool one for you musicians out there who are having trouble naming your band. Just follow the link and BANG your band has a name. Keep refreshing the page for hours of weird band name fun!

They Expressed Regret??

The obvious would be to point out that this is smutty, and altogether just wrong, but what disturbed me more than anything was the last line of this article which reads,

"A Disney spokesman said the company was aware of the video and expressed 'regret' if it caused any offence. "

That almost makes it sound like it was purspoeful and they regret the offence all of us square's took. They didn't say they were appalled or regretted that the video even existed or that someone defiled the innocent traditions of Disney. No, they "Regret any offence". Interesting to say the least.

Cleanup on Aisle 5

Dennis Hasstert and other GOP leaders all breathed a collective sigh of relief at the true explanation of the Plane Crash in NYC this afternoon. The capitol building had to be evacuated prior to that however and off duty janitorial staff called in to cleanup the mess from the GOP's collective trouser sh*tting after preliminary reports from Fox News indicated it may have been a terrorist attack.

Plane Crash in NYC today

Jihadi Joe

You had to know this was coming!

This is Awesome

I am sorry they did not use this

Why won't the GOP use it? Could it beeee maybeeee, SATAN! (sorry, got carried away there for a moment)

Actually, the GOP are punch drunk at the moment and don't want to make themselves look any worse. You have to hand it to the dems, the are back and they are pissed off. This fall should be a lesson to conservatives everywhere in the years approaching the 2008 presidential election. The Dems maybe wrong on nearly every issue but they are certainly willing to fight for the right to screw up the country.

Stop! Or I'll say stop again!

UPDATE: 10/11/2006

So the weapons test has come and gone and while I do have to concede that the UN Security council roundly condemmed North Korea's Regime for testing a Nuclear weapon, my larger point still applies. Because once again there have been little if no real consequences for another terrorist regime defying the world body and showing once again the futility of the UN's willingness to make good on any kind of retaliation for lawbreaking dictators like Kim and pals.

I am sure you can imagine the mullahs in Iran sitting back, puffin' on a hooka, stroking their beards contemplatively as they watch the coverage of our world leaders scrambling around like ants in an earthquake trying to figure out what to do, and better still who will actually do it. Make no mistake, they are watching and for good reason. Their's is coming next! If we do not react properly to this aggressive move by NK, Iran will do the same and give a collective chuckle at any type of threatened consequence along the way. I hope that somewhere there is a plan to deal with this contingency, cuz I do not want to be living 3 miles from LAX airport if we end up with a Nuclear armed Iran

Coulter is right on as usual: Clinton's Latest Glow Job
_____________________________________________
The ridiculousness of the United Nations has officially surpassed reason this week. With North Korea threatening to test a WMD, fresh salt is poured in the wounds of a few weeks ago when the UN allowed two openly hostile world leaders to disgrace our country and our president in the heart of New York City. No, not Dirt, Ca., New York City, where terrorists slammed planes into our tallest buildings and then celebrated about it for days afterward. Once again we hear not moral outrage, not strong condemnation, not threats of sanctions or punitive measures.... Just a weak and inneffective voice once again yelling "stop", stop please even, if you take in the context of the UN Statement. You might say, "But Tim the UN expressed "deep concern" over North Korea's desire to test their weapons." Folks, deep concern is something you have when your sixteen year old comes home stoned, or when your daughter starts dating a guy nick-named "Jake the Hip-Snake" with a lip ring. I am no fan of Robin Williams these days, but back in the eighties he made a joke about the unarmed English Bobbie of old...

"In England, if you commit a crime, the police don't have a gun and you don't have a gun. If you commit a crime, the police say "Stop, or I'll say stop again."

Sounds a lot like the modern day United Nations to me. Only problem with that reference applied to today is that "You" (the UN) don't have a gun, but "They" (the bad guys) do, and they are not afraid of what we'll do if they use it. But really why would they be, we (the world community) doesn't even believe it will do anything. I wonder what it would take for the UN to actually get good and pissed off? To quote Matt Broderick in another arcane eighties reference, "Let's play, Global Thermonuclear War." Problem is, by then the sh*t is already out of the horse.

I'll leave you with this quote from an article I read written in 2002 by Alan Caruba:

The UN Charter says it exists to "save succeeding generations from the scourge of war, to practice tolerance and live together in peace as good neighbors, to unite our strength to maintain international peace and security." This malignancy that passes for an international organization devoted to fostering peace and a bunch of other noble ideals has proven to be utterly useless and totally irrelevant, except as a threat to democracy and freedom everywhere.

The problem is you can't practice tolerence and live in peace and maintain international peace and security at the same time. I mean it sounds nice on paper, but it is just not a statement based in reality. The bad guys have to have their arses kicked into oblivion sometimes to maintain peace. Nothing tolerant or peaceful about that, but it sure is effective!

Foley Flap Timed?

Well first let's get right out there and say that those IM's are disgusting and he is a disgusting human being that needs to be punished severly.

Having said that a couple of things occur to me. We have been hearing Democratic leaders say America needs to know what the GOP leadership knew and when they knew it. Well, based on the timing of the release of this story first on that blog and then to the media one has to wonder just what the Democratic Leadership knew and when they new it. It would be equally as dispicable for them to have held on to that info long enough for it to make a difference in the election as it would have for the GOP leaders to have done so to have it not effect anything. This is total conjecture mind you but the timing is rather perfect don't you think?

Another thing that bothers me not becasue of its absense, but because of its irony. The silence of the left leaning "tolerance" groups who would support a grown man's right to E-Fondle a 16 year old boy in any but an election year and in any other situation but one that hurt the GOP's chances of retaining control of the government's two houses. Again, total conjecture, but curious nonetheless.

There are currently some very fine people in the blogosphere investigating the "reality" of this situation and coming up with some things that might begin to support one or both of my theories.

Survivor Ratings and CIA Torture

Well, just two shorts weeks after all the controversy surrounding the "segregated" Survivor season all the fun is over. They are now mixed tribes again. Which proves my point...Germans love David Hasselhoff! Wait , no ...I mean, TV is all about the $$$. CBS cashed in on all that publicity and still ended up not really doing anything that controversial. Give the producer a raise! "Survivor: Cook Islands," CBS, 17.43 million viewers."

On another Survivor related note, I was reading this article that sort of light heartedly describes one of the challenges as well "better designed to get prisoners of war to talk", and it made me think. We (well some of us anyway), are such ninnies. The challaenge was "Each person strapped on a 15 pound weight, and trudged through knee-deep water around a course, with one tribe trying to catch the other. For any person who dropped out, a teammate had to carry their weight." and it occured to me. That is worse than any torture we put terror detainies through and there are a lot of other things in life that are as well. I have compiled a short list for your entertainment pleasure:

1. Driving in L.A. Rush Hour Traffic
2. Waking up every 2 hours during the night for a month straight to a crying baby (then having to breast feed it)
3. An IRS Audit
4. Standing in line for anything at the DMV
5. Listening to a Ted Kennedy Speech on the Senate Floor (OK maybe if your a Republican)
6. Property Taxes

...and I am sure I could think or more if I had the time. But the point is we really need to wake up as a country if we are electing people to office that want to give Terrorists the sames rights that we have to fair treatment and a jury trial. The argument that our soldiers will be mistreated if we use harsh tecniques just does not fly when you consider that they are already being treated poorly right now, without any change or increase/decrease in the amount of prisoner coersion. I think the last soldier of ours that got caught was shot through the head, had his throat slashed and then had his genitals cut off. Water boarding doesn't sound like such a bad idea to me after hearing that...You??

Peaceful islam at it again

BeAFreakinUtiful!

I love Condi! She just kicked the sh*t out of any attempt at making that classified report released yesterday an election issue with this statement:

Asked about recently leaked internal U.S. intelligence estimates that claimed the Iraq war was fueling terrorist recruiting, Rice said: "Now that we're fighting back, of course they are fighting back, too."

"I find it just extraordinary that the argument is, all right, so they're using the fact they're being challenged in the Middle East and challenged in Iraq to recruit, therefore you've made the war on terrorism worse.

"It's as if we were in a good place on Sept. 11. Clearly, we weren't," she added.

"These are people who want to fight against us, and they're going to find a reason. And yes, they will recruit, but it doesn't mean you stop pursuing strategies that are ultimately going to stop them," Rice said.

Finally, someone in the Bush White House got a pair and said what really needed to be said all along. Even before this they have been accused numerous times of causing terrorism by our efforts in the Mid-East. As if they (terrorists) would all just stop hating us if we left them alone. GO Condi!

Here is the full article from the NY Post:

23 Ways to be a good Democrat in 2006

I know many of you will take this as a Right Wing jab, but I don't post this to instigate, I post this to allow you an opportunity(if you have not already)to investigate these things and see whether or not they are true. If you are an honest person and truly seeking to stand for the convictions you believe the Democratic party is all about, then this should be very educational. In the end though it is more tounge in cheek than anything, and I am sure that Democrats could make a list just as long of things like this that they believe to be true of Republicans. So, can you handle the "reflection"?

1. You have to be against capital punishment, but support abortion.

2. You have to believe that businesses create oppression and governments create prosperity, and be willing to ignore all evidence to the contrary.

3. You have to believe that guns in the hands of law-abiding Americans are more of a threat than US nuclear weapons technology in the hands of Chinese and North Korean communists. Or ANY Nuclear technology in the hands of a rouge nation like Iran or North Korea.

4. You have to believe that there was no art before Federal funding.

5. You have to believe that global temperatures are less affected by cyclical documented changes in the earth's climate and more affected by soccer moms driving SUV's.

6. You have to believe that traditional gender roles are artificial but alternative gender roles and being homosexual are natural.

7. You have to believe that the AIDS virus is spread by a lack of federal funding and has very little to do with Homosexuality and rampant IV drug use.

8. You have to believe that the same teacher who can't teach 4th-graders how to read is somehow qualified to teach those same kids about sex and sexuality.

9. You have to believe that hunters don't care about nature, but activists who have never been outside of San Francisco do.

10. You have to believe that self-esteem is more important than actually doing something to earn it.

11. You have to believe that Mel Gibson spent $25 million of his own money to make The Passion Of The Christ for financial gain only.

12. You have to believe the NRA is bad because it supports certain parts of the Constitution, while the ACLU is good because it supports certain parts of the Constitution.

13. You have to believe that taxes are too low, but ATM fees are too high.

14. You have to believe that Margaret Sanger and Gloria Steinem are more important to American history than Thomas Jefferson, Gen. Robert E. Lee, Thomas Edison and A.G. Bell.

15. You have to believe that standardized tests are racist, but racial quotas and set-asides are not.

16. You have to believe that Hillary Clinton is normal and is a very nice person (Most of the time).

17. You have to believe that the only reason socialism hasn't worked anywhere it's been tried is because the right people haven't been in charge.

18. You have to believe conservatives telling the truth belong in jail, but a liars, drug addicts and sex offenders belong in counseling and are elligeble to hold government office.

19. You have to believe that homosexual parades and art expos displaying drag, transvestites, and beastiality should be constitutionally protected, but manger scenes at Christmas should be illegal.

2o. You have to believe that this message is a part of a vast, right wing conspiracy.

21. You have to believe that it's okay to give Federal workers Christmas Day off, but it's not okay to say "Merry Christmas" unless your put an X where the Christ used to be.

22. You have to believe that the basic human rights of one terrorist murderer are as or more important than stopping the next 9/11 from happening.

23. You have to believe that freedom of the press trumps our National Security

Too Little Too Late

...for the left to be outraged at the words of Ahmandinejad or Chavez. Our thanks to the distinguished Senator from New York Charlie Rangel and House Dem Leader Nancy Pelosi for speaking out and being the only ones to do so publically, but sorry Charlie! You can't just scoop the sh*t back into the horse! Hugo and Maqmood are getting their vitriol straight from the Moveon.org DNC playbook. Democrats have been saying much worse things about Bush for the last 5 years loud enough for the entire planet to hear them. The message is loud and clear from the democratic party, "We do not respect nor do we regard our own chief of state". So let me ask Nancy and Charlie a question... If you don't respect him, why should anyone else? For months/years the loudest (left leaning) media voices in our country have been lambasting everything from the way George Bush got elected, to his foreign and domestic policy, to his vacation time, to his faith and the list goes on. What do we expect the rest of the world to think? We are the standard for the civilized world and how we present ourselves will determine the way the rest of the world percieves us, including our President. You can't just say,

"If there is any criticism of President Bush, it should be restricted to Americans, whether they voted for him or not."

as Charlie Rangel did, and have that be good enough. Though I agree with Pelosi and Rangel that he should be unequivocallyand Nationaly shat upon for standing up at the UN General Assembly and saying such things, this should be a wake up call for the liberal wing of the DNC. News Flash!! They think its ok to say those things because you have made it acceptable to do so. You have made it acceptable to infer that our president is a moron and a lying, power hungry criminal. They don't just pull this stuff out of the air, they hear it straight from your mouths!!

Bush Is Stupid

Bush Is A War Crimnal

Bush Stole The Election

Bush Is A Racist

"Constructive" Democratic Criticism

DNC Chairman Insults "Chief Of State"

Bush Is A Liar

Bush Is Evil

Bush Is A Nazi

So thanks Nancy, Charlie...but no thanks unless you are willing to apply that standard to your own party and wake up to the fact that you are more the cause than the solution!

Things That Make Tim Go Hmmmm?

Fox News Channel is my favorite news station for a variety of reasons and I watch frequently. Thusly I have noticed a disturbing trend of discrimination toward female news corresspondents with, simple, "normal" last names. Or at the very least an affinity for women anchors with peculiar and/or long, last names. I have no opinion on the matter other than to say it is curious and worthy of further scrutiny. I wonder if at its inception the two top executives at Fox had a bet or something. See the proof of my claim below:

Hat Tip to Wuzzadem and Malkin for this awesome link

I am going to use it because it makes my point and the point of every other sane person on earth who understands...

It is time for this nonsense to stop. When will decent people stand up once and for all and tell these ridiculous people ENOUGH!!!

The idea seems to be escaping all but a very few that you can't call yourself a peaceful religon and then when someone else challenges that statement, threaten to behead them. My brain hurts just considering the moronic iggnorance it would take to believe such a thing. Look, lets forget about why they do it because that really does not matter right now. The problem is what they do. Greater Islam cannot continue to react like a mass of spoiled, petulant children everytime somebody huuts deaw wittle feewings and then turn around and demand the respect of the world. The very idea that there is any justification or lack of exposure of these kind of acts for what they are is sureal. We are talking about educated, well rounded individuals who just let this mess continue unchecked. To my knowledge not even one country (including the US) has formaly stood up and said unequivocaly, "We wil not tolerate your stupid religous tantrums any longer". "Stop now or you won't be able to sit down for a week".

Two Important Bills before Congress

Hat Tip to STACLU for all the hard work in combatting those who would take away our religous freedom.

Good News: PERA goes to the House floor!

As you may or may not have heard, the Public Expression of Religion Act (PERA), which would curb the likes of the ACLU from obtaining taxpayer money in the event of adverse rulings regarding the removal of religious symbols and plaques of the Commandments, passed by voice vote out of the House Judiciary Committee and now moves to the floor for a full House vote.

Needless to say, the ACLU and Americans (Dis) United (AU) are not happy about this. You can read their press releases by clicking here and here.

TAKE ACTION

Since Congress is set to adjourn for the year at the end of this month, we urgently need you to contact House Speaker Dennis Hastert to schedule a vote on this bill. His phone number in Washington is (202) 225-2976 and his fax is (202) 225-0697. His number in Illinois is (630) 406-1114 and his fax is (630) 406-1808. Please be respectful when you call or fax and urge him to allow House Bill 2679 for a vote.

More info on Speaker Hastert can be obtained by clicking here.

The companion bill, Senate Bill 3696, in the U.S. Senate is sponsored by Kansas Senator Sam Brownback and is in the Senate Judiciary Committee. Unlike the House Judiciary Committee in which passage sailed thru without dissent, the Senate Judiciary Committee is where we must raise our voices since Chairman Sen. Arlen Specter, according to Rees Lloyd of the American Legion, is said to oppose the legislation.

Please contact Sen. Specter to allow a vote in committee and to support SB 3696. His Washington phone is (202) 224-4254 and his fax is (202) 228-1229. His Philadelphia office phone is (215) 597-7200 and the fax is (215) 597-0406.

More info on Sen. Specter can be obtained by clicking here.

Of course, we need you to call or fax your Congressmen and women to urge them to vote YES on HB 2679 and your two U.S. senators to vote YES on SB 3696. If possible, please ask the aide you reach how their lawmaker would vote and to have that lawmaker release a statement as to their position.

If you do not know who your elected officials are, click here.

If you wish, our friends at the American Legion has set up their own Action Alert page which contains information and talking points which you are free to use when you call your Congressional and senatorial leaders. There is also a section to report the results of your calls. If you do use these features, let us know how they worked out for you.

Hezbollah Uses Jedi Mind Trick

Amnesty accused Hezbollah of possible war crimes during the 34 day war between it and Israel. The terror group's representatives responded saying,

"We do not deny that we have bombarded Israeli cities, settlements and infrastructure. But this was always a reaction," he told Al-Jazeera television. "It was a natural reaction. When a state is invaded, it must defend itself."

It was not clear Thursday what Fadlallah meant by the word "state" since by its own admission Hezbollah represents no state or specific entity to begin with. It was also not clear if the terrorist leader was including this obvious crime against humanity, or this one when he eluded to "reacting" to invasion.

Hassan Fadlallah said he learned the Jedi Mind Trick from watching Star Wars and wonders how long it will keep working on the rest of the world before someone catches on...

All You Need to Know About the Pentagon Attack

...you can find out from the people who saw it. Normally I would not blog something like this but given the amount of idiots out there claiming that a cruise missle or single engine drone or some other such thing hit the Pentagon, I thought it neccessary. Enjoy

A list of witness at or near to the Pentagon,

September 11th, 2001

collated from reports to be found online:

Anon, from the Navy Annex.
As I stood there, I instinctively ducked at the extremely
loud roar and whine of a jet engine spooling up. Immediately,
the large silver cylinder of an aircraft appeared in my window,
coming over my right shoulder as I faced the Westside of the
Pentagon directly towards the heliport. The aircraft, looking
to be either a 757 or Airbus, seemed to come directly over the
annex, as if it had been following Columbia Pike - an Arlington
road leading to Pentagon. The aircraft was moving fast, at what
I could only be estimate as between 250 to 300 knots. All in all,
I probably only had the aircraft in my field of view for approximately
3 seconds.
The aircraft was at a sharp downward angle of attack, on a
direct course for the Pentagon. It was "clean", in as much
as, there were no flaps applied and no apparent landing
gear deployed
. He was slightly left wing down as he appeared
in my line of sight, as if he'd just "jinked" to avoid something.
As he crossed Route 110 he appeared to level his
wings, making a slight right wing slow adjustment
as
he impacted low on the Westside of the building to the right of
the helo, tower and fire vehicle around corridor 5.
http://www.ournetfamily.com/WarOnTerror/emails/pentagonwitness.html

• Donald "Tim" Timmerman, a 36 year old resident
of Eppington Drive, to the south of the Pentagon across
Interstate 395, is a navy pilot and a photographer.
"I was looking out the window; I live on the 16th floor,
overlooking the Pentagon, in a corner apartment, so I have
quite a panorama. And being next to National Airport, I hear
jets all the time, but this jet engine was way too loud. I looked
out to the southwest, and it came right down 395, right over
Colombia Pike, and as it went by the Sheraton Hotel, the pilot
added power to the engines. I heard it pull up a little bit
more, and then I lost it behind a building. And then it came out
and I saw it hit right in front of -- it didn't appear to crash into
the building; most of the energy was dissipated in hitting the
ground, but I saw the nose break up, I saw the wings
fly forward
, and then the conflagration engulfed everything
in flames. It was horrible.
What can you tell us about the plane itself?
It was a Boeing 757, American Airlines, no question.
You say that it was a Boeing, and you say it was a 757 or 767?
7-5-7.

I saw a big, gaping hole and I could see pieces of the plane inside.
Earlier, an eye-witness told us the plane didn't crash into the building.
Well, I don't know what it looked like from where he was, but I looked
right inside the hole and I know it crashed into the building.

• Joel Sucherman, USAToday.com Multimedia

50 to 75 yards from his windshield. Two seconds later
and before he could see if the landing gear was down

wall of the Pentagon 100 yards away.
"My first thought was he's not going to make it across the river to

to change direction. It was coming in at a high rate of speed, but not
at a steep angle--almost like a heat-seeking missile was locked onto
its target and staying dead on course."

As part of the 2996 Project, we take the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the worst terrorist attack in our nation's history to remember Larry I. Beck, mailroom clerk at Cantor Fitzgerald, killed on 9/11 at the World Trade Center. Larry was from Baldwin, New York, and was 38 years old when his life was cut short by Saudi missionaries...

9/11 Rememberence

...is all I will be blogging today. Plus a few other 9/11 related tidbits. Since every other blog out there has what I am certain are a ton of pictures of the actual attacks I will spare you more. Other than to remind you that our attackers drove three planes into American targets and are trying even as I write these words to come up with a plot that will again succeed the way 2001 did. So first lets look at the spirit of America and remember the victims:

We were attacked by people who hate us, who hate our way of life, our religon's, our liberty. We find ourselves now at a most unique point in the history of this country where men and women will look back on it and we will be judged. Will we stand in the face of death and evil or will we shrink back in fear and say, "its ok, as long as they don't hurt us", until once again inevitably they do. Fortunately, we have a President who, no matter what his detractors may say about him is commited to standing and fighting. Unlike other world leaders who talk like they want to stop the terrorists then do nothing, our's is singularly committed to fight for as long as it take to get the job done:

We will not waver and we will not shrink back. The most chilling thing is however, that there are those who just ... don't ... get it

So we remember somberly the five years that have passed between then and now and the sacrifices made in the name of our God and country both here and abroad. We are a unique nation among the others of the world, we are "the" example for other countries who aspire to be free republics. What must they think when they look at us and see things like this and this.

We have a responsibility to be accountable for the great freedoms we have here and to not let slip the sacrifice in blood that thousands of great heroic men and women have made so that you and I can live, work and raise families here in America.

I pray for comfort in the lives of the familes who lost loved ones today, for the brave military persons who have lost their lives in the line of fire and for any who would put their job, life, family on the line for something greater than themselves!

I salute You!!!

Pitt-Jolie one less riduculous hyphenated name...

To worry about for the time being. Brad Pitt said today that he and fellow gazillionaire sex symbol Angelina Jolie will not be getting married until the rest of the country (USA) can decide for themselves who they want to marry and do so legally. Implying that he and Jolie are both against restricting marriage to a man and a woman.

"Angie and I will consider tying the knot when everyone else in the country who wants to be married is legally able," the 42-year-old actor reveals in Esquire magazine's October issue, on newsstands Sept. 19.

Pu-lease, Just another witty bit (or steaming pile) of moonbattery from our good altruistic friends in Hollywood. According to publisists, Pitt's next move will be to hold his breath and stomp his feet til' he turns blue when and if partial birth abortion ever gets banned. Jolie's people say that she is content just to kick Uncle Sam's ankles and swear a lot.

Non-Story is now a Story

The recent flap by Democrats over the so called "inaccuracies" in the new Docu-drama "The Path to 9/11" has done more to feed the controversy over Clinton administration officials actions during the time period leading up to the terror attacks than the actual footage in the series itself would have. It is historically true that innocent people have no need to explain themselves. Though, as of now after their fervent and sometimes, frankly threatening efforts to pressure ABC into changing or editing certain scenes in the upcoming series, the DNC and the Clinton Administration have roused my suspicion (and likely many others) even more as to their actions than if they had just kept quite and accepted their portion of the responsibility for the massive failures at both the Executive and DOD levels that led to the attacks in the first place.

Please take the time to read the letter that prominent Dem senators wrote to ABC Execs. essentialy threatening them with who knows what if the scenes were not deleted or altered. Also, see my earlier post with the first links to yesterdays and todays breaking news on the matter. 9/11's disasterous implications fall equally on both Republicans and Democrats, but I have yet to see or here about one Republican or Bush Admin official denying or refuting any portion of the events depicted in this movie. Hmmmmm?

Border Security=Immigrant Legislation

Bill Frist said today that in his view "no comprehensive immigration reform could be passed" in the three weeks congress has left before they begin campaigning for the Nov. Mid-terms. He outlined a sharp division that arose between the Senate who put forward a more all inclusive legislative package and the House which favored a comprehensive bill only after the issue of Border Security has been dealt with first.

Political Opinion Alert: Bill Frist and representatives like Tom Tancredo have it right. There is no immigration reform without border enforcement first. Honestly no matter what side of the "Illegal" issue you come down on, there is no argument about whether or not we should secure our borders. Neither is there any point in giving 12,000,000 non-citizens what amounts to almost complete amnesty before the source of the problem gets handled. In reality there is nothing comprehensive about the senate bill since it does very little if anything at all to address the massive exodus of mexican citizens over our South Western borders. A tough border security bill first to stop the bleeding. Then by all means, treat those already in this country fairly according to our laws and values as americans. Our governments failure to deal with this a decade ago has resulted in this problem being what it is today.

ABC Mini-Series canned by Dems

Democrats this week spoke out in oposition to the airing of a new 9/11 docu-drama analyzing the trail of events that lead to the terrorist attacks that killed nearly 3000 Americans in 2001. Their biggest complaint was that there were many inaccuracies and misrepresentations of the events that took place during the Clintoon Presidency. Of course when they had pointed out to them that the series was just as critical of the Bush Administration as of the Clintoon's, a spokesman for the former president responded,

"The difference is, the stuff they show the Bush administration doing actually happened."

Gosh, now who would have figured that??
