Actually, the GOP are punch drunk at the moment and don't want to make themselves look any worse. You have to hand it to the dems, the are back and they are pissed off. This fall should be a lesson to conservatives everywhere in the years approaching the 2008 presidential election. The Dems maybe wrong on nearly every issue but they are certainly willing to fight for the right to screw up the country.
