Today Friday Funnies is a special addition. The back story is from the blog Six Meat Buffet. One of the contributors "Cranky" has a daughter that he is very proud of and often shares with us readers his and her exploits. This post is about his daughters teacher and the liberal doctrine being taught in her school. The gist is that her teacher rarely if ever reads the assignments turned in closely so this time they, well...salted it a little to see if he would notice. The result is very funny and entertaining. Like the wrath of Ann Coulter. This is comical, and I agree with her on almost every point. She underscores the frustration of every Conservative who knows what Mc Cain is about and how infinitesimal our chances are of winning the White House this November. Our party has let us down guys and Ann is right. I don't know if I would go that far, but her logic is absolutely right on. Go Ann, for having the brass ones to say it on national TV! Did you see the blush on Hannity? I thought he was going to cut her mike, that was just classic!

Lethargy, Disillusionment or...

Do the Dems just have "more BDS-fueled energy to channel into the race?" as Malkin says?

Well, me personally, I hate to be the bearer of bad news. But the fact is the difference in voter turnout is due to the fact that they just have better candidates... and they all know it. Personally I believe we are just as a party heavily disappointed in our Republican field. Relative to Barak Obama and Hillary Clinton these guys have nothing to offer. We haven't been this bad off since Bob Dole. Below I will breakdown why I think this will be our downfall.

First, none of the 3 top candidates is a polarizing figure. Not one of the three has half of the Charisma that the two top Dem candidates have. Next we have their individual demons...

John McCain - Supported Amnesty for Illegals, does not support a marriage amendment and last but not least suggested recently at a debate that we should solve our Health Care crisis by purchasing our drugs from Canada. There are many more but those did it for me.

Mitt Romney - Was the Governor of the most liberal state in our union. Think about that for a moment, he got elected Governor by the same people who changed the laws in their state to say that homosexual marriage was ok, the same people who keep electing Ted Kennedy to the Senate term after term after term. In addition, (and this is a big one for me) he practices a religion that believes Jesus and Satan are spirit brothers, and that believes in the idea that God rules the universe from a planet called Kolob. And lastly who could forget his earlier endorsement by the Log Cabin boys. Still haven't heard a good answer to that one.

Mike Huckabee - Calls Bush foreign policy "Bunker Mentality". He proposes to completely do away with the IRS (Not a bad thought, but a very stupid idea) . His foreign policy experience is laughable and he just appears totally un-electable in the context of a general election.

The one consolation for me if the dems win in November will be that they only had these guys to beat. Its like pitting the New England Patriots against the my local Community College. That must piss a lot of you libs off. We will always be able to say if we lose, "Yeah but you only had (Fill in The Weak Republican Candidate Here) to beat", of course you won! If they can't beat us with one of these guys running, then they should all pack up and go home. In fact every time, at least in my lifetime, that we have had a strong candidate to offer we have won the White House which says to me that given the proper vehicle, our ideas always win. Pitty!

All of the voter turn out on the left is due to one thing. They are primed and ready for a fight this time around, they want this one bad, really, really bad. They prepared, they got two charismatic, intelligent, capable candidates who represent their views (however pathetic and wrong) and they have a charged up and mobilized base. It almost makes me chuckle to think that they probably could have even won this election with Gore or Kerry. Oh well, there is always the House and Senate I suppose...

Well, this is a sad day for me... really. I liked that show a lot. I was watching last night 01/15/08 and the story was about the murder of a muslim Marine. It was so bad that at some points I had to wonder whether they created this weak storyline just to pad the spaces around their anti-America spewing. The most egregious of all was an exchange between Gibbs (Mark Harmond) and the father of the muslim Marine whose name escapes me.

The shows writers made it a monologue against "western interference" in the middle east. They had Harmond's character stay silent while the muslim character lamented about how "the people of that region just want to live in peace and would if the west would just leave them alone", boo frickity-hoo!! That was only the worst part, there were many more less offensive, but still annoying slams on America and the Iraq war. I love this show normally, but I give this episode an F-

Clinton v Mc Cain?

I think not in the end anyway... Though whether it be Hillary, Obama or Edwards I think its important to remember who we are talking about here. It is very easy to get lost in the patriotic, inspirational aspects of the candidate and say globally, "well they are all good Americans whose hearts are for a Strong America". I have heard pundits even on Fox say this of both parties, but it is vitally important to remember what each one's ideas are of a "Strong America". So for you conservatives that already attend my blog, and also for those who may be undecideds or even liberals who stumbled this way by accident or as a result of some earlier post I appeal to your decency as a human being today, to that voice inside you that in the small hours of the night convicts you...

Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and John Edwards on the Issues: Voted against banning partial birth abortion. (Oct 2007) which means essentially that they voted to let continue the slaughter of babies outside the womb in the most grotesque manner imaginable because the amendment did not allow for an exception to take into account the "Health" of the mother. The health of the mother being defined so broadly as to include depression, anxiety, PMS even. This is not an issue of whether the mother would live or become physically disabled in some way. This is a statement by these candidates saying essentially that they approve of THIS for any reason a woman so chooses. That is something that should change your mind, Christian or not, Black or White, Woman or Man.

Voted NO on notifying parents of minors who get out-of-state abortions. (Jul 2006) another issue that transcends party, gender, religious faith, etc.. Our Children. No matter who you are, if you are a parent you want what is best for your child. You love them, protect them, nurture them and hope that one day they will grow up to realize a future that you could not. You monitor their temperatures when they are sick, get them to the best doctors you can find, monitor their vaccinations, their intake of medicine. We read through all of the fine print on every label (almost) to make sure that our most precious are cared for properly. Would we then allow those we love most to be operated on without so much as a phone call in the name of abortion rights? We ask our schools to notify us when our children fall ill before giving them any medicine. We must sign forms for any sports teams we join that expressly ask whether we give permission for our children to be treated in the event of an emergency. We would not allow any important life changing decision (especially medical) to be made for our minor child without a firm vetting and express permission from one or the other parent. But would we allow our most loved to cross state lines and be operated on by a complete stranger whose qualifications we know nothing about without our permission or even notification? People will site the case of Becky Bell and lament the state notification laws we have in place now as too harsh and as having caused her death. The fact is they were not firm enough. Firstly, I would not trust my 16-17 year old to feed himself half the time, much less on whether to choose life or death for a child, or to choose a good doctor. They say that Becky went to an abortion clinic in her state and was told her parent would be notified if she were to actually get an abortion. Frankly, if there had been a law in place saying that the clinic was required to notify the parents when Becky so much as sought treatment, her death would have likely been avoided. In the case of a minor child of any age, the parent(s) should be involved at every level and for any reason. The default position for those who are concerned about children should be notify first, ask questions later. Yes there are some parents who are abusive and that would over-react, but they are in the minority. Most parents are loving concerened individuals who want what is best for their daughters. A vote for any of these three is a vote against your child's innocence, against your child's health, and against your child's best interest.

So Simple A Child Could Understand

I thought of what to say here about Christmas this year and got a pit in my stomach. Not for loss of words to describe this beauty that is the birth of Christ, but at the overwhelming darkness that blinds the eyes of my fellow man. At the hate that keeps men from knowing God and the selfishness that keeps them from realizing their need of a savior. My prayer for all you who read this blog during the holidays is that God would awaken in you His Love and give to you what I and others have found in Him. I love that never, ever fails, a hope that assures us of right relationship with our creator, and a faith, as tiny as it is, that is implanted at birth and allows us if we would only ask, a place in God's kingdom.

I have never heard it put more simply than this...

Oh wait, but that isn't even what all the hub-bubb is over. Huckabee actually had the audacity to include the image (either purposefully or not) of a floating cross in the background as he spoke. (hush falls over the crowd)... (Gasps and small children crying)...

Whoever started this flap ought to be Huckapunched in the Huckanose. What a bunch of wieners... Oh! Never mind, it was Ron Paul, big shocker there!
